The Faulkton Area Economic Development Corporation (FAEDC) is a private, non-profit corporation dedicated to improving the economic health of Faulkton, SD, 以及周边地区. It is governed by a volunteer board of directors and employs a part-time bookkeeper.  FAEDC has been instrumental in the construction of a new housing development on the west side of Faulkton and an industrial park to the east.   For business retention and expansion, as well as helping new entrepreneurs, a 循环贷款基金 is available at low interest rates.  The Development Corporation believes that by honoring the past, maintaining the present and planning for the future, Faulkton will continue to be the strong and vibrant community it is today and embraces wholly its motto, “我们相信一切皆有可能!”
